Description

Ervin the Barbarian is one of the four Bosses on the first floor of the Tower of the Helephant.

Speech:

Ervin the Barbarian: "Taurus! Someone has found our rope! No matter! We'll make short work of them!"

Taurus the Clever: "Indeed my barbaric friend. The Heart of the Helephant shall be ours and ours alone. Destroy them!"

With a name like Ervin, his mother hoped he'd be something like an accountant. But he chose barbarian.

Cheats

Ervin the Barbarian

• At the start of the battle, Ervin cheat-casts a Tower Shield (-90%) on himself. If removed, he cheat-casts it again until all of the Minions are defeated.
  • Spells such as Steal Ward or Pierce can be used to safely remove the shield, but he will still replace it when he takes Damage.
• "Hah! Your miss leaves you open!" - Whenever a Wizard fizzles, Ervin cheat-casts a 0-Pip Skeletal Dragon on the Wizard who fizzled, dealing 800 + 1,998 Death Damage over 3 Rounds.
• "I needed those thieves!" - After all of the Minions are defeated and repeating every second round, Ervin cheat-casts a 0-Pip Leviathan at the start of the round that deals 2,030 Storm Damage to the highest threat Wizard.
  • Although this cheat is not cast, it may still be dispelled with Dissipate.
• If a Trap is placed on Ervin while any of the Minions are alive, then he will cast Cleanse Ward on himself.
  • Vaporize can be used to dispel this cheat.
  • For Elemental Trap and Spirit Trap, only the last Trap of the three (Storm, Life) is removed.
  • Multi-Trap Spells (such as Windstorm or Mass Death Prism) do not trigger this cheat.
  • Indemnity can be used to avoid this cheat.

Taurus the Clever

• At the start of every third round, Taurus cheat-casts Smoke Screen (-50%), making it easier for Ervin to use Skeletal Dragon.
  • Quench can be used to dispel this cheat.
• "This would look better on Ervin." - If a Wizard casts any Charm, Taurus will cheat-cast Disarm on the recipient and give a Deathblade to Ervin the Barbarian. If Ervin the Barbarian is defeated, Taurus will still cast Disarm without casting Deathblade.
  • Dissipate can be used to prevent this cheat. If Disarm is dispelled, Taurus will not give Ervin a Deathblade.
  • For Elemental Blade and Spirit Blade, only the first Blade of the three (Fire, Life) is removed.
  • For multi-Charms like Bladestorm, only the caster's Charm is removed.
  • Spells such as Plague and Smoke Screen activate this cheat and Taurus will cast Disarm on the caster.
  • Aegis can be used to avoid this cheat.
  • Blades cast by Shadow Creatures such as Shadowblade or Shadowspear will trigger this cheat.
